Raghu Mittal is the lead architect and manager for software development at the Digital Innovation Lab and he brings tremendous passion and development skills to the Lab.
Raghu Mittal was earlier, a co-founder and technical lead at Handheld Solutions Research Labs (HANDSREL). He worked for 2 years at Bajaj Auto Ltd as an Electrical Engineer before joining Dr. Shashank Garg as co-founder at HANDSREL.
While at HANDSREL, he managed and implemented many projects in the area of mobile data collection and has also been an active contributor to OpenXdata, an open-source consortium which built a generic mobile platform for field data collection. He was one of the core-committers at the group, with full committing rights to the main OpenXdata repository. He was responsible for many features and innovations on the platform.
He is passionate about building web applications and mobile applications. He has worked on various products and innovations during his development career spanning almost 10 years.

He graduated from IIT Delhi with a major in Electrical Engineering in 2007 and also published an IEEE paper while at IIT.
Raghu has abiding interests in applying his technical skills to the development of the social sector, particularly in the area of public health and financial inclusion.
